Strong From Home: Dumbbell Pullover

The Pullover is one of the greatest upper body exercises one can do; particularly with a dumbbell; and is great for building strong and healthy shoulders, and lats and pecs that can lift a house.

These are often done from a bench; however many of you may not have access to a bench; we have found that these still be very effective from the floor. To perform, press your lower back down into the ground, squeeze the sides of the dumbbell, and reach back as far as possible without the shoulders shrugging up or lower back coming up. Then squeeze the armpits and chest to bring the dumbbell back up.

We recommend starting with a moderately challenging set and rep scheme, then add a small amount of reps, tempo, pause, or weight, in the movement each week.
