Strong From Home: Banded Tricep Extension
As far is purpose and progression goes, this is not an exercise that should really be focused on for that BUT it is extremely useful for developing strong triceps which can help with lockout on a snatch, jerk, or press, therefore we will use it.
With these, we stay very high rep, somewhere in the 50-100 rep range, and use as a finisher after completing a normal upper body workout.
This band is a red mini band from Rogue Fitness which we've found to be more effective for high rep isolation exercises than the blue or black minibands.
