Use The Hip Snatch to Increase Power, Speed, and Pull Under the Bar
The Hip Snatch is a great way to reinforce proper power position, finishing vertical, and speed under the bar. If you are slow under the bar, this will help by forcing you to be fast.
To perform, pull the bar to the hip crease and stand up with knees locked. Take a big breath and brace the abs, then dip straight down WITHOUT letting the shoulders come in front of the bar, then explode up and pull yourself under the bar, getting under the bar as fast as possible WITHOUT letting the bar crash. The goal is to catch the bar and pass through a full squat.
