Fear of Death is a Great Motivator: A Technique Tip
This is a drill we use at Big Bend Strength and Conditioning to fix the dreadful Jump Forward that plagues beginner lifters. To set up, roll the bar to the end of a platform that has a slight drop off, then perform a clean or snatch. what you’ll find is that the drop off will prevent you from jumping forward. I would not recommend doing this on anything high, or unstable. often times drawing a line will do the trick, but this usually works better. Let me know if this helps!
