The Best Power Clean Drill for Football: The 3 Position Power Clean with Pauses

This is similar to a power clean, with a couple differences.

Start from the high hang (hip crease), and perform a power clean, but stop the moment you receive the bar, pause for a second, then perform a full depth front squat.

The next rep is from the ground, with a 1 second pause above the knee, and finishes exactly like the first rep. The last rep is from the ground with no pause, and finishes like the first two reps.

This complex is great for football players who need to be able to produce AND absorb EXCEPTIONAL levels of force.
