Stop Programming Ridiculous Bullshit for Complexes
I’ll keep this one short.
I see a ton of coaches programming complexes for weightlifting. Complexes are great. I love them. I use them all the time. The problem is that if we believe training should have a purpose, and should clearly progress towards a goal, then how do you argue that your complex is going to help someone achieve their goal?
A complex should be used to identify technique breakdowns, and fix those breakdowns by doing that complex.
If your complex only serves the purpose of being challenging, then it does not serve the purpose of making purposeful progress.
