Pause Front Squat

The Pause Front Squat is a great way to improve leg strength, trunk strength, and help improve a lifters position at the bottom of the squat.

To perform, place feet just outside of hips, grab the bar with full grip but let it be supported by the shoulders. If you have limited shoulder/wrist ROM, you will want to grab the bar with just the fingertips and let it still be supported by the shoulders. Take a big breathe and push your abs out and around, then squat as low as your range of motion allows. Pause for 1 sec, then stand up, squeeze the glutes, and keep the elbows up as high as you can.
