Fix Timing and Technique in the Clean with the Pause Clean

The Clean with Pause at Knee is a great way to develop explosive strength while also reinforcing proper technique at the knee position.

Perform like a normal clean but stop just in front of the knee for 1 sec, then continue the clean as normal.

This is a great way to practice proper technique while still getting used to the feel of heavy weights. I also love this variation for lifters tend to “black out” in the middle of the lift as it gives them enough time to remember whatever cue they are working on for the day.
