1 Thing Every Baseball Player Should STOP Avoiding

Training Shoulders.

So many baseball coaches and athletes believe that to protect baseball players shoulders, the athletes should never do upper body lifting.

Here’s the problem: If you don’t train your upper body, you become MORE susceptible to injuries!

Muscle is there to protect joints. Think of the workouts you do as building armor. More muscle means better protection.

Here’s some guidelines for you if you are just getting into training upper body and want to stay safe.

1) Bench Press but keep the elbows in close, stay away from wide grip for now

2) Bent Over Rows 1:1 ratio to pressing. The backside of your body should be as strong or stronger than the front.

3) Do movements like Bent Over Rope Pulls to build muscle in the Chest, Lats, Forearms, and Biceps while keeping the risk low.

4) Use a fat bar often as it will help protect elbows more than a regular bar.
